Can you believe it? Several weeks ago a picture of this year’s Miracle Riders could be seen on the big screen in Times Square!!!
As folks came to and from work they had the unique opportunity of finding these fine men looking down on them. What a huge way to thank and acknowledge the Riders and get encouragement for others to support the Ride!! Just a few more days and they’ll be off!
Dr. Bob Ressmeyer
On April 17 the life of Dr. Bob Ressmeyer was celebrated with ice cream, love, laughter and stories of a remarkable man and the father of our own Scott Ressmeyer. During the last days since Dr. Bob died suddenly of a heart attack after a normal day at work; Scott, his mom Joni and an extended family have continued to cook barbeque, cater dinners, honor commitments and show us all that life goes on and in doing so honor the one lost.
Today some local kids visited PMB Broadcasting to record support messages for the riders. Thanks for helping out Emma, Alden and MacKenzie!
Meet Ella, one of the many patients that gives us the motivation to ride 48 states in 21 days.
Ella Goudie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on October 10, 2011 at The Medical Center. Prior to Ella’s diagnosis, she was a very funny, beautiful, and strong-willed five-year old. After one year of cancer treatments that included over 25 days in the hospital, 15-plus spinal injections of chemotherapy, IV-injected chemotherapy, steroids, and daily oral chemotherapy, she is still very funny, beautiful, and strong willed! Through the hair loss, weight fluctuation, and over six months of solitary confinement, Ella has kept her smile and toughness. She is definitely no pushover!
