Will You Ride With Scott?
Last weekend we joined this year’s Miracle Riders on their photo and video shoot. We spent almost 7 hours in the cold filming take after take to come up with the necessary footage to tell the story of Scott’s Ride in 30 seconds. But how can you tell the true story of this ride in 30 seconds or even 30 hours? How can we share what is in the heart of the man that started all of this or in the hearts of those dozens who have joined him over the years? We think it is as impossible as having a mother explain the value of her child’s life. It is bigger than motorcycles, miles of road, time away from family and even riders. But it is not too big to be contained in the caring hands of a nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, or the smile of a Child Life Specialist or the skilled minds of a physician. Scott’s Ride for Miracles comes from a bigger place; big enough to make a difference here in Columbus Georgia at The Medical Center to the unborn child sleeping in its mother’s womb hanging on for a few more weeks or the young athlete who tried just a little too hard to make that hard turn on his bicycle.
