About the Ride

Scott Ressmeyer and 30 other Miracle Riders have spent the last 6 years riding through all of the lower 48 states in 21 days to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. This is the seventh and final year that Scott and his riders will take this journey. Scott and the Miracle Riders had pledged to raise $1 million over the course of the ride’s span and this year, 2015, they will reach their goal.  All 31 Miracle Riders are featured on our meet the Rider tab here.  This year 21 of those will join Scott for the final ride.  Check back often to follow this epic adventure.  There are many new plans in place to make the final special.

The Miracle Riders leave on Friday, May 1, 2015 for their journey across the country and will return on Friday, May 22nd. Follow them and read about their experiences here at www.rideformiracles.com. Check in each day of the ride for new posts, pictures and videos! Tune in to WTVM and PMB Broadcasting stations for live updates throughout the ride from Scott and the Miracle Riders, and don’t forget to follow them live on UStream.

I had the opportunity to meet one of the riders – Brice – during training in March and April of this year. He is an incredible individual who not only excels in his role as a firemedic but is truly passionate about being a Miracle Rider. The love he has for this group and its mission is written on his face and in his heart, through words and actions. What an incredible honor to meet you, Brice. Thank you for sharing the remarkable story of the Miracle Riders, especially that of Martin. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all on this wonderful journey.

Well here we go!!!! Trying to get all my media outlets up and running to this page. I am sitting here looking at the faces of these awesome men with huge hearts. (Guess it’s time to get the hankie box out.) I look at their faces, one by one, and I know these men and I know their hearts. Right in the middle of the picture is Martin & Claire, the heart of this ride, and I am so filled with emotion I cannot put it into words. Watch the video and be amazed. So everyone saddle up for this ride, stay connected, follow the blog, comment when something moves you, and of course raise those $’s.
    I am officially plugged in!

    Hi,
greetings from far away Germany !
    I learned about your page from a US-based Co-worker.
    Very exciting and action !

Unfortunately I cant view a number of the videos as there seems to be some legal fight for the music you are using for the videos. What a pitty !

You really do 9000 miles in 21 days ?! Truly amazing ! I thought I was tough with my trip this summer when I will do 5500 miles in 21 days. Compared to your trip I barely have the engine warmed up.
Keep the rubber down and stay well – your families need you back home !

Wishing you all the best of luck !
    Greetings, Alex
