Day 5- Mike Jolley

Jolley

The drive from OK through TX then New Mexico and finally to Durango, CO was one that could take your breath.  The curves were some of the best you could ride and the view of the snow covered mountains are picture perfect.  A 500 plus mile day in wonderful weather.  Had a little bike trouble with Rick S. and Leatherwoods bike, but Ronnie had major problems.  In fact, he is now the proud owner of a NEW 2014 HD purchased in Durango.  His old bike will be shipped back to Columbus/Phenix City one day next week so the motor can be fixed.  You can say a lot about a man and his “toys”, but for Ronnie this purchase was not about a new toy.  It was about finishing something he started for a cause he believes in.  When the HD service department told Ronnie his bike could not be fixed for a couple of days his first words to me were, “I got to finish the ride for the kids – I will just have to buy a new bike”. And buy one he did!  About 45 minutes later we were on our way.  Great Day!  Tonight the hotel is nice and we had a great meal.
