Funds raised through the 2010 Scott’s Ride for Miracles will go to purchase Dash® monitors from GE Healthcare for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at The Medical Center. These versatile monitors, which cost $21,345 each, can adapt to the needs of each patient in high-acuity situations and provide important information to doctors and nurses as they make informed care decisions.
Dash® monitors are lightweight and easy for caregivers to maneuver during transport or treatment. They offer state-of-the-art data acquisition and analysis programs that help doctors and nurses accurately identify, diagnose, and treat patients with speed and precision. Patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit will benefit significantly from Dash® monitors as they will provide timely and accurate information on the plan of care needed for each individual patient.
